Experts’ strategies against fake news: information and disinformation during the Russian invasion of Ukraine.- Seminar
We encourage everyone to attend the seminar organized on the initiative of the Weimar Triangle on the topic: “Experts’ strategies against fake news: information and disinformation during the Russian invasion of Ukraine.”
It will be a meeting devoted to reliable journalism and information processing in the context of war.Experts from Germany, France and Poland will share their knowledge on methods of verifying information in social media and the press.
Panel discussions are followed by practical exercises and exchanges during workshops. The aim is to consider and to develop methods to ensure the exchange of valuable information and strengthen the resilience against fake news.
The seminar will be held on 13.10.2023 at the University of Warsaw (Dobra 55, 00-312 Warszawa, room 2.118)

Adaptation Day for students of the Sustainable Development
An Adaptation Day for students of the Sustainable Development is behind us!
On September 29, we met with newly admitted students so they could learn more about the Sustainable Development Studies.
The meeting was led by Head of Sustainable Development studies Anna Batorczak, PhD, Agnieszka Kałmykow-Piwińska, PhD, Eng. from the Geology Department and Eng. Katarzyna Sołdaczuk from the Secretariat for Student Affairs.
At the meeting, students had the opportunity to learn more about the study program, familiarize themselves with the rules of study and the characteristics of the unit.
We thank all participants for coming and wish them good luck!
Master’s Degree Programme in Global Environment and Development (MERGED) – Webinar 2.10.2023
On 02.10.2023 at 4 p.m. we invite you to a presentation of the Master’s Degree Programme of the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences – Erasmus Mundus Joint Master.

Dear Students! We are all very excited about the new academic year 2023/24 and we are looking forward to meet You at the University of Warsaw during realization of the Sustainable Development graduation course.
To make a good start for You we would like to invite You for the welcome day for students of Sustainable Development which will be held at the Department of Geology (the same building, where the office of UCBS is), room 3119, on 29th of September, 2023 at 2.00 p.m.
