Polish Language Course for international employees of University of Warsaw

The University of Warsaw is offering an unpaid 30-hour Polish language course online for international employees. The course is aimed at learning communication skills that might be useful during working and living in Poland.

3 groups on 3 different proficiency levels are planned, depending on the needs: from A0 to C1. The course is also a unique possibility to network with other international employees and share experiences of living and working in our country.

In this course we offer:

  • free participation,
  • 30 hours of Polish language at different levels depending on the needs (A0 – C1),
  • placement test,
  • professional and passionate teaching team,
  • online classes,
  • great atmosphere in international environment.

When?

18.10 – 17.12.2021 and own work on the platform

Classes will be held in the afternoons, 2 times a week, for 1,5 hours each. Exact course schedule will be given after setting up the groups.

Where?

Online on Kampus – e-learning platform for employees and Zoom.

Who can apply?

The course is intended for international employees of University of Warsaw.

An employee should be understood as a person employed during the period of implementation of the development activity at the University on the basis of a contract of employment or appointment.

Inauguration of the 2021/2022 academic year at UCBS

We cordially invited you to the ceremonial inauguration of the academic year at the MSOŚ
and Sustainable Development, which will take place on October 1 (Friday) 2021 at 11:30 a.m. in Room 3012, floor 3, in the building of the Faculty of Geology, 93 Żwirki i Wigury Street.

This year, the event will feature a lecture by Gregory Tchorek, Ph.D., of the UW Faculty of Management, entitled “Challenges of Energy Transformation.

The inauguration will be held in conditions consistent with the guidelines of the Chief Sanitary Inspector (to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus).
All guests invited to the ceremony are requested to wear protective masks.

Important information for students

Dear students,

Pursuant to the ordinance No. 9 of the Rector of the University of Warsaw of 18/01/2021 on the organization of education in the summer semester of the 2020/2021 academic year, exams and credit for the summer semester retake examination session, including diploma exams, until September 30, 2021 are held without changes, i.e. in remote mode.
Currently, the provisions of the Order No. 98 of the Rector of the University of Warsaw of June 18, 2021 on the functioning of the University of Warsaw in the COVID-19 epidemic are in force.
At the same time, we would like to inform you that classes and exams in the academic year 2021/2022 at the University of Warsaw will, as a rule, be conducted on an on-site basis, i.e. in university facilities (i.e. stationary mode), if such an option is not limited by changes in the law.

 

Tuition fees for studies in the academic year 2021/2022

The fee must be paid in euros to the individual account number provided in the USOS system.

Full-time studies in a foreign language a fee for a year of second-cycle studies – for foreign students outside a member state of the European Union, the Swiss Confederation or a member state of the European Free Trade Agreement (EFTA) – a party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area 1700 €
payment in two instalments, including:

until October 1st, 2021 – 1st instalment 850 € or pay the full amount at once 1700 €
– 2nd instalment 850 €

Intensive Polish language course online

Dear Student, The University of Warsaw is offering an unpaid 40-hour intensive Polish language course online.

The course is aimed at preparing international students for living, learning, working and enjoying living in Poland. Participants of the course will explore at the elementary level secrets of the Polish language and acquire knowledge of Polish culture essential to reside in Poland, eg. how to buy a ticket, order a coffee or lunch, how to find your way around UW and dealing with basic affairs and phrases essential for social life in Poland. This is a unique option to meet colleagues from all over the world before the start of the classes and feel confident with Polish before coming to University.

The course will take place online, so now you can learn Polish sitting comfortably on your sofa!

  • In this course, intended for students of last 4 semesters at the University of Warsaw, we offer:
  • free participation
  • 40 hours of Polish language at basic level
  • professional and passionate teaching team
  • online classes
