Under current GIS rules and restrictions, persons testing positive for SARS-CoV-2 are subject to isolation, and persons who have had close contact with a person infected with such a virus are subject to quarantine, with the exception of persons vaccinated with a full dose of COVID-19 vaccine and recovered persons.
Procedure for dealing with symptoms suggesting COVID-19 infection and guidelines following notification of a positive test result for SARS-CoV-2
In accordance with the UW Rector’s Order No. 112 of 16 September 2021 on the organisation of education in the academic year 2021/2022, UW students and PhD students should send information that they are infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus to the email address: InfoCovid19@adm.uw.edu.pl and inform the Student Affairs Secretariat if the infection has occurred on UW premises or the person found to be infected has attended classes at UW while already infected.
It is important whether the infected person has been vaccinated; this affects the quarantine of the infected person and those with whom they have had contact. Therefore, the infected person should contact both the Student Affairs Secretariat and the Sanitary or GP by telephone as soon as possible.
Persons in close contact after verification by the Sanepid are notified to go into quarantine.
The definition of close contact with an infected person can be found at www.uw.edu.pl under SANITARY GUIDELINES FOR OPERATION OF FACILITIES.
