On March 18\u201319, 2026, Dr. Anna Batorczak participated in the international symposium \u201cUniversities as Change Agents in Sustainable Development.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

The main organizer of the event was Tallinn University, and the co-organizers were the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences, SustainERA, and the Baltic University Programme.<\/p>\n

The symposium aimed to highlight the role of the academic sector as a tangible and measurable agent of change for sustainable development\u2014going beyond scattered initiatives and purely theoretical discourse.<\/p>\n

Over the course of two inspiring days, academics, researchers, and representatives of non-governmental organizations from many countries in Europe and beyond had the opportunity to explore diverse approaches to education on sustainable development and its implementation in the academic sphere and through cross-sectoral collaboration.<\/p>\n

The event also created a space for establishing new partnerships that may in the future lead to the co-creation of effective strategies to fully harness the potential of universities in addressing the most pressing environmental, social, and economic challenges of our time.<\/p>\n
