{"id":499,"date":"2021-03-03T11:13:10","date_gmt":"2021-03-03T10:13:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ucbs.uw.edu.pl\/?page_id=499"},"modified":"2026-02-26T15:44:40","modified_gmt":"2026-02-26T14:44:40","slug":"podpiecia-przedmiotow-w-usosweb","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/ucbs.uw.edu.pl\/en\/podpiecia-przedmiotow-w-usosweb\/","title":{"rendered":"Subject assignment in USOSweb"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"32\"><strong data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"32\">Attaching Courses in USOSweb<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"34\" data-end=\"129\">Attaching courses in USOSweb is very important because the way a course is attached determines:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"131\" data-end=\"344\">\n<li data-start=\"131\" data-end=\"222\">\n<p data-start=\"133\" data-end=\"222\">whether the course is included in the settlement of a specific stage and study programme,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"223\" data-end=\"301\">\n<p data-start=\"225\" data-end=\"301\">whether the course grade is included in the stage GPA and final diploma GPA,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"302\" data-end=\"344\">\n<p data-start=\"304\" data-end=\"344\">whether fees are charged for the course.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"346\" data-end=\"414\">There are three possible scenarios for attaching courses in USOSweb:<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"416\" data-end=\"419\" \/>\n<h3 data-start=\"421\" data-end=\"480\">1. Attaching a course to both a programme and a stage<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"482\" data-end=\"635\">By attaching a course to a specific programme and stage, the student declares that the course is included in the study plan for that programme and stage:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"637\" data-end=\"867\">\n<li data-start=\"637\" data-end=\"713\">\n<p data-start=\"639\" data-end=\"713\">the course will be included in the settlement of that programme and stage,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"714\" data-end=\"766\">\n<p data-start=\"716\" data-end=\"766\">the grade will be included in the GPA calculation,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"767\" data-end=\"817\">\n<p data-start=\"769\" data-end=\"817\">upon completion, the course awards ECTS credits,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"818\" data-end=\"867\">\n<p data-start=\"820\" data-end=\"867\">a fee will be charged for repeating the course.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr data-start=\"869\" data-end=\"872\" \/>\n<h3 data-start=\"874\" data-end=\"950\">2. Attaching a course only to a programme (without indicating a stage)<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"952\" data-end=\"1084\">By attaching a course only to a programme, the student declares that the course is not included in the study plan of that programme:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1086\" data-end=\"1377\">\n<li data-start=\"1086\" data-end=\"1214\">\n<p data-start=\"1088\" data-end=\"1214\">upon completion, the course awards ECTS credits, but it will not be included in the settlement of any stage of that programme,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1215\" data-end=\"1327\">\n<p data-start=\"1217\" data-end=\"1327\">the student may choose not to include the grade in the GPA calculation (attachment type: <em data-start=\"1306\" data-end=\"1325\">Grade resignation<\/em>),<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1328\" data-end=\"1377\">\n<p data-start=\"1330\" data-end=\"1377\">a fee will be charged for repeating the course.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr data-start=\"1379\" data-end=\"1382\" \/>\n<h3 data-start=\"1384\" data-end=\"1430\">3. Not attaching a course to a programme<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1432\" data-end=\"1612\">If a student does not attach a course to a programme, they declare that it is an extra (non-curricular) course exceeding the limit of additional courses allowed for that programme:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1614\" data-end=\"1767\">\n<li data-start=\"1614\" data-end=\"1676\">\n<p data-start=\"1616\" data-end=\"1676\">the course will not be included in the programme settlement,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1677\" data-end=\"1733\">\n<p data-start=\"1679\" data-end=\"1733\">the grade will not be included in the GPA calculation,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1734\" data-end=\"1767\">\n<p data-start=\"1736\" data-end=\"1767\">the course is subject to a fee.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr data-start=\"1769\" data-end=\"1772\" \/>\n<h2 data-start=\"1774\" data-end=\"1804\">Rules for Attaching Courses<\/h2>\n<ul data-start=\"1806\" data-end=\"2286\">\n<li data-start=\"1806\" data-end=\"1936\">\n<p data-start=\"1808\" data-end=\"1936\">Courses taken from higher stages than the one the student is currently enrolled in should be attached <strong data-start=\"1910\" data-end=\"1935\">only to the programme<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1937\" data-end=\"2156\">\n<p data-start=\"1939\" data-end=\"2156\">Physical Education (PE) classes and language courses taken during the 1st or 2nd year of first-cycle (Bachelor\u2019s) studies should be attached <strong data-start=\"2080\" data-end=\"2105\">only to the programme<\/strong> (they will be attached to stages in the 3rd year).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2157\" data-end=\"2286\">\n<p data-start=\"2159\" data-end=\"2286\">Repeated courses should be attached to the stage of studies to which they belong, in accordance with the applicable study plan.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr data-start=\"2288\" data-end=\"2291\" \/>\n<p data-start=\"2293\" data-end=\"2334\"><strong data-start=\"2293\" data-end=\"2334\">Guide to attaching courses in USOSweb<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2336\" data-end=\"2356\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\"><div class=\"su-youtube su-u-responsive-media-no\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/qPQb9PxevuA?autohide=1&amp;autoplay=1&amp;mute=1&amp;controls=1&amp;fs=1&amp;loop=1&amp;modestbranding=0&amp;playlist=qPQb9PxevuA&amp;rel=1&amp;showinfo=1&amp;theme=dark&amp;wmode=&amp;playsinline=0\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen allow=\"autoplay; encrypted-media; picture-in-picture\" title=\"\"><\/iframe><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Attaching Courses in USOSweb Attaching courses in USOSweb is very important because the way a course is attached determines: whether the course is included in the settlement of a specific stage and study programme, whether the course grade is included in the stage GPA and final diploma GPA, whether fees are charged for the course.
